Contractor License Requirement

The Van Buren Estates is an initiative of the Petersburg Community Development Corporation (PCDC) and its managing agent, the Petersburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority (PRHA) to provide mixed income housing within the City of Petersburg. The PCDC is the sponsor of this project and is directed by its mission statement to revitalize and maintain neighborhoods and provide affordable housing opportunities in a safe environment. The Van Buren Estates venture will provide additional housing and also act as an "anchor" to trigger major development of necessary revitalization in the Halifax Street corridor of the city. To the extent that the assessment represents market value, the PCDC plans to build (12) single family homes at a projected total development cost of $2.2 million.
